Announcement from Dr. Musiek

After 37 years in New England, 25 at Dartmouth and 12 at the University of Connecticut, Sheila and I are moving west!

In the fall of 2014, I will assume Professorships at the University of Arizona in the Dept. of Speech Language and Hearing Sciences and the Medical School in Tucson. Next summer, I will retire from UCONN and then become unretired to take the new position at Arizona. At least for the next year or so, we will keep our house in Storrs, CT and return to this home in the summer.

Lectures in Auditory Disorders and Sciences

The Lectures in Auditory Disorders and Sciences (LADS) series will host Gary Jacobson, Ph. D. on April 23rd, 2014 and James Kaltenbach, Ph.D. on April 30th, 2014.

Now available: Second edition of the Handbook of Central Auditory Processing Disorder

The second edition of Musiek and Chermak’s two-volume, award- winning Handbook of Central Auditory Processing Disorder is available through Plural Publishing for purchase.


The “Pathways” series of articles, with the Hearing Journal for many years, are now with Hearing Health and Technology Matters. This new Audiology blog provides pathways articles monthly. In addition news items and current happenings in neuroaudiology and CAPD will be highlighted.
